Here’s the shell  I painted for the Just drift competition.  This time I decided to go with a all American car and a not so usual paint job. Instead of just doing the common carbon fiber on the hood  top and trunk  I decided to go with a marble finish . I was very surprised on  how well it it looked in the sun and how it handled on the track.

I finally had a chance this weekend to finish up the crawler. This was a very fun and challenging build for me since this is my 1st kit build. The biggest challenge I had were the beadlocks since they kept coming off after a few test runs, but eventually I got them figured out.

Here’s the Specs Im Running

-Axial AX-10 stock kit
-rear steering kit
- Foams cut to gear shape  and weights on the front wheels
-The GOAT ESC with 55t novak Brush motor
-Front Servo hitec mg 645 and rear hitec mg 625

This event was the worst RC drifting and 1to1 drifting I have attended so far. Some of the reasons this was a bad event was because  the judging was horrible. In my opinion the  judges were giving the wrong car the point. In some occasions, the car that took the lead was not close to the clipping points and got the sudden death points. WTF!!! As for the D1 drifitng  the tickets we got from HPI were horrible since they were seatless general admission. The event was so disorganiszed that we just gave up and called it a day. But, on the other hand I was able to take the my  girlfriends Subie out for a spin and it look great even though pink is not my color .lol

I spent a few more hours last night working on the crawler.  Its going to take a bit longer than what I expected to get this build complete , specially  since I have to get my cyclones ready for this weekends D1 rc comp.

I finally had some time to hit up Hobby People and pick up an Axial crawler. I started building the kit late Saturday night, and a quarter through the build I broke a piece that was crucial to putting together the kit. That brought my kit building to a halt. The next day, after calling around for parts I found a shop that had the part in stock. After hitting the highway for an hour an getting my part, I was finally ready to start the build again. Here’s a interesting  video I found on the Groovydrift forum from our Canadian friends practicing  some   Gymkhana battle  .  I think its time the west coast stepped it up and start hitting the Gymkhana  hardcore.. 

Here it is the 1st RCDC event of the season. Cant wait to get GTR body this week so I can start planning my decal scheme .
